1 Day Left - The Great 7 Lessons

Today is the last day of my challenge..waaahh!!

But before I officially call to an end the 90 Day Challenge, aside from all the powerful life changing lessons and money making strategies I posted on this blog, let me share to you the Great 7 Lessons I have learned and experienced in this 90 day challenge.

1. HAVE POWERFUL GOALS

Who would have thought I would get to join this challenge and was actually able to change my life in 90 days? None! The string of events that happened before and during the challenge up to this very date still amazes me. But I wouldn't have done it without this goal - earn 1 million in 90 days.

I am a living example how powerful goals can lead a wonderfully lived life. I challenged myself to get a million in 90 days and this very goal changed my values, beliefs, and everything that it made me truly wealthy.

2. YOU ATTRACT SUCCESS

Looking back on the past 90 days, I will state one true conviction - I LET THE UNIVERSE MAKE IT HAPPEN. It was I who opened up myself to all the opportunities, all the diamonds, that lie around me and the rest was up to God's Hand - the Universe. The people that comes in time that I need them, the trials that challenged me in time I need to learn a new lesson,  and the opportunities that come that connects the past opportunities is all unexplainable. How did I do it? I let the believed that the universe will give it to me.

3. IT'S ALL ABOUT YOUR LOVES

Each of us is specifically designed to do and bring in something into the world. That's what we have to really figure out - and work on it hard. We need to know what are our true loves! And simply stated our loves is something WE WOULD DIE FOR! This is your very last day on earth and there's nothing else you would do but that!

So where does money come in the picture? We need it to do our loves - at a more remarkable scale. As discovered in the challenge, my loves is to motivate and inspire people. Yup, I can do that, maybe 1 or 2 a day, but I cant reach out the other millions more. That's where money comes in.

4. CREATE A NAME FOR YOURSELF

After figuring out my loves, now I am creating a name for myself.

Remember, its not a monument, nor a building named after me, but its a something that will last and live in the hearts of people - my name. Partially, you will need this to increase your wealth but also you will need one to increase your true wealth - relationships with people. It should come a time that when someone tells your name they would automatically associate you with something significant and lasting.

5. TRUE SUCCESS IS HOLISTIC

A true millionaire succeeds in all aspects of his life: health, career, relationships, and spirituality. Fortunately, this challenge taught me this very important lesson. I have greatly improved my becoming more fit, became more efficient on my jobssssss, improved my relationship with family and dabby and of course my relationship with God.

6. GIVE YOUR WEALTH  ALL AWAY

Because after a few months you can come up with the same amount you have given up. It's not the money that matters, it's what you are that matters.

Besides, you don't need material things at life's end, right? Oh I just realized that I do really need more wealth because I have so little to give away! hehehe

and the top lesson is....

7. IN THE END, STILL ITS' THE RELATIONSHIP THAT MATTERS

Let me tell you how I spent my last day of the challenge.

We had a little gathering here at our home, of course, with my mentor Kuya, and Jan his son, and Tita Glo his wife. It was one good fellowship.

Actually, we prepared for 10 people, but only them showed up! But to my surprise, what I have given reached out to more people than I expected. Aside from us here at home, two of my father's workers were given, a very supportive couple friend of my parents were given, and even the birthing home where my sister is on duty were also given.

We also had a wonderful short chat with my parents on some concerns at home. But what amazed me in the middle of our talk was how close and open we have been compared to before. I realized that all those times I have created a wall around me by creating very high expectations from them that hindered me from seeing them as they truly are. Never have we become this much closer.

Plus, I ended it with a romantic date with Dabby. With all the validations of the facts in the book Men are From Mars, Women are from Venus. The book helps so BIG TIME!

You know what? Starting this blog, as I would post in social bookmarking sites like Digg, Stumbleupon, etc. I would put this blog under the label "business". But I have noticed that in the next half of the all the posts, I started to put it under "People".

Amazing.

Ladies and Gentlemen, its all about people...about relationships.

So you see, you can take all the wealth I have away, keep me with my relationships, and I'll create that wealth double than what you can take away. But take my relationships and leave my wealth with me, I'll die the short today.

P.S.
You might want to ask how much I have earned.

Our Business Incubators calling card.
Here it is! More than a million worth of opportunities waiting for me.

12 then 11 days Left - The Ocean of Miracles

With my previous post on opportunities collide you might see how things have been over and above me lately. How on earth will I manage to do all those??

Yes, I mention to do it stage by stage right? Exactly. But then again, how will I do it stage by stage? What next? Which one first? How about all the obstacles?

One Word:
Miracles

I have a confession to make. Yep, I was a seminarian for over 6 years and honestly, it came to a point that I became so used to all the spirituality thingy that I became so immune. Maybe because I was too influenced by my being a psychology major that my spirituality rating dropped. Prayed a lot less, slept during the mass, and talked more of religion less.

At lost, that's when I found the teaching of Bo Sanchez. He taught me how to be spiritual in a material world by being simply being practical. Yup, its very possible to be close to God by not praying too much and too long and not overly talking about religion and the bible.

Yet, again Bo has enlightened me big time when I read his article You Are Surrounded By and Ocean of Miracles - the clear point: do what you have to do and God will do the rest. Simple.

I am a worrier, that's for sure. I was used to tell people that I was born pessimist. I worry about things going wrong. But however, in this 90 day challenge, I have learned to soften up and take big risks. But still the burden of a "what if" future worries me a lot especially that I have taken so much opportunities now. And so all the "how" and "what ifs" starts to drive me crazy. But now, here's my answer...

"Just do what I am supposed to do everyday, stage by stage, then God will do the rest."

Let me share you one miracle:

I read Bo's article exactly at the right time when I needed it most.

39 Days Left - Why I Don't Watch TV Anymore

I don't watch TV anymore!!
I will only use it if I watch Movies that are WORTH MY TIME!

Here are my 8 reasons why I dont watch TV anymore:

1. NEGA-TV-TY.
I really get a strange feeling of negative energy oozing out of the television everytime news is aired. It's all about crime, violence, catasrophe, economic turmoil, and all other bad news. In result, it creates, "useless anxieties", you get stuck, you get afraid, pessimistic, and you become stagnant.

2. SEX, DRUGS, and VIOLENCE.
Why not LIFE, WEALTH, and HAPPINESS? You can't see these in telenovelas.

3. THERE'S NO BUSINESS LIKE SHOWBUSINESS
Why follow other peoples lives that people don't even know what's going on in the lives of their own sons and daughters! The life behind the screens of their movies is still business! They are only making a fool of people following them. And you see, the lives you are following are lives with divorce, adultery, intrigues, scams, love triangle! And they stick to it every Sunday afternoon! Why not follow the lives of actors/actresses SUCCEEDING in life makind a difference to the world! oh, are their any?

4. EMPTINESS
When was the last time that you watched a TV show and you felt so good about yourself, or you learned something great that made you so motivated to action, or it changed your life???

5. TIME SPENT ILL
With all the time spent in watching TV did it "produce" something good out of it? Or the day just went by faster?

6. MAKES YOU FEEL SO SMALL
Aside from the fact that most TV figures negatively affect people's self-esteem, TV makes the icons there on top of their world and you are just below, one of their million fans. Your world revolves around them. But actually, you should be the one on top of your world!

7. IT'S NOT REAL
TV creates a world with the main objective of creating money, not for you, but for themselves. Ask yourself this, imagine you are in a big house, with all cameras around it, and the whole world watching at you, what will you do? Okay so you say you will try to be yourself, to be who you really are. But don't forget everything else it not! All the challenges they give, the scenarios, are designed to create a show that will keep people on watching and texting and create them more money! Its a REALITY but its a TV.

8. TV IS NOT MADE FOR YOU..ITS FOR THE NETWORKS, ADVERTISERS AND PRODUCTIONS
At the end of the day, who is happier, fulfilled, and richer? You or the TV networks, actors, and producers?

-------------------------------------------

"So who cares, if I watch TV...what's with all this fuss??!"
Actually, no one cares.

Just don't stick too much on the boob tube.
And make sure you're not missing the other great things the REAL world has to offer.
(except for the World Cup and Kerygma TV though, got no choice! hehehe)

42 Days Left - Focus on My Preaching Skills

Things had been quite different lately, especially on the way I manage my work and my team. Like what I said, I'm now focusing on harnessing my skills in writing and preaching or putting it simply: touching lives.

As you know, we have been writing much on our upcoming book. So how about my preaching skills?

Simple, I give simple talks  to my people in anyway I can.

Every morning we have a pep-talk. And honestly for me, its just the most awaited part of my work! Pep-talk is where the whole team would gather around discuss what happened the previous day, share to them the events and plans, or any other important information dissemination. But instead of all these, what I do is to share them  stories, and positive inputs about work and about life and life purpose. Most of them came from not-so-well-off families. Financially struggling, and lack direction in life. And it's such a great feeling looking at them listening intently and seriously when I talk to them about life truths and principles!

My common topics would be that they are all  meant for greater things - living beyond the ordinary. I also give much emphasis on how important for me their tasks. All they have to do is to perfect their small tasks and responsibilities and leave the rest to me. As long as they perfect that then we can bring the whole team forward. I would keep on reminding them, for the past 8 monhts, if you can perfect the small things then can you be able to handle bigger things.

Improvements? Not much. Maybe it would really take enough time and individual focus. But what I'm confidently sure is I have made them uplift themselves from not just mere workers but team members. Plus, the respect I gained from them is assuring.

Aside from the pep-talks, I also shoot some simple truths if I can in our conversations. When they complain, give opinions, or start a talk, I always, in any way I can, inject to them something positive. Those moments that they would bow their head in silence and smile. Gotcha!

And so, instead of complaining on my work as in my other post, there's something I look forward to everyday. It may not be much, but the experience is gratifying. Plus, I get to focus on my life skills. Remember, what you focus on grows!

55 Days to Go - The Poor Dad

My mind still cannot understand how certain people think!
"You help them but they just won't help themselves! "
Yes, I am angry but composed coz I'll end up busting they keypad of my sis' laptop.

Jimi, one of my father's workers, lived in "the mansion" as what his neighbors called during my dad's visit in their place. Yes, a mansion as it is, though slightly bigger than the neighbor's pig pen, he has 3 children 12, 10, and 2 years old. Unfortunately, his wife is pregnant of the 4th. And It is good to note that his wife is blind due to the infection brought by a cyst.

Imagine, everyday they eat for all their meals "lechon baka" (roasted beef) and "lechon baboy" (roasted pork). However, only the name is sumptuous for these are the names of the best selling one peso junk food.

His daugther, Jenny Rose, is going high school this June. While his son Tyson, the 10 year old, will soon be a member of Akrho and will be enjoying the group's benefits of free coffin courtesy of St. Peter in 5 years time.

Desperate, he went to our house a couple of weeks ago bringing the pics of his children and offered them for adoption. As my mother recounted, "He was like selling puppies!" Being an answered prayer, my parents agreed to take in Jenny Rose. You see, we have been looking for help here at home for quite a long time. My mom is the real-life-working-mom-chef-entrepreneur-buyer-seller-government-offices-goer-helper-of-her-burdened-brothers-and-sisters-disciplinarian-cook-5am-daily-mass-goer-amazing mother of all. Indeed, Jenny Rose would be a great help to lessen her arthritis and headaches.

And so arrangements were made and they brought Jenny Rose three days ago. Everybody was very excited most especially my sister. She gave her most of her dresses and stuffs looking forward to becoming an "ate". My mom got her her room and they were planning to enroll her this week at school. She was indeed a great help especially with the 5 pages to do list of my mom.

But just today, after going for a visit at their home she texted us that she won't be coming back. She said she missed her family. ( A 15 mins,7 peso ride away from our place)

"I cannot comprehend how someone who is literally handed a blessing, a lifetime opportunity, right into her hands threw it all away. I don't know why. You help them, but they don't want to help themselves!!!!" This is what my father said as I heard the news.

Just writing this post, I realized how good the world is. It is full of amazing, endless blessings and opportunities. And these blessings are dying to help you, longing to get noticed, opportunities are hungry for our attention. BUT only man shuns himself from all these. Runs away from blessings. Throws all opportunities away.

I will never forget what Kuya told me the from our first meetings..
"I have helped a lot of people...but only a very few deserves it"

And now, I understand.

79 Days to 1 Million

So were are the 11 days?

I spent it reading, digesting, and absorbing everything on the book "One Minute Millionaire" by Mark Victor Hansen and Robert Allen. My head is really so full of ideas, reflections, realizations and truths and at the same time my body is so revved up that I want to put all of the inputs into action! But hey Hanz, chill or you won't get anything done.

So this is why this blog exist. To help me chill. Put all my ideas and plans into something where I can store it. As what my mentor said, "Your mind is used for creating ideas not storing them."

I won't be jotting down what I learned from the book, but I'll be sharing to the world how I am going to use all those lessons and get me that 1 million!
