4 then 3 days Left - When the Universe Conspire

Still no one can comprehend how things happen lately in this 90 day challenge. When the universe conspire to feed in to you all opportunities just like the hand of God designing everything.

Everything happened for a reason. Nothing in this world is unplanned.

One example, I think I didn't share it here, remember the house and lot which is our previous house before we moved in to this ancestral home at the back of our house? One distant aunt still lives there, and I was really thinking even convincing my parents to "think with me" that she would leave the place and be back to her family?

As my aunties were here, for the funeral of Mama Ling, one of them Ate Cha, which basically owned the lot told her of her plans of developing it and having it for rent. Well, on the spot, she agreed and is willing to leave by end of the year! See?

But the latest conspiracy was the new direction my father's job is taking.

He has a small engineering services with on and off projects for the past 3 years. But just the other day, the project coordinator of the plant where they usually work was an inventor of a new oil filtration process and my dad remembering that I'm into all these internet marketing my dad offered him the opportunity to be open online! The deal was even moved to the higher level as he opted that our engineering services would be the front of all services of his invention! Plus, of the meantime, he is willing to give us as many projects in the plant!!!!

I'm so totally grateful of the everything that's happening!

But still, for me the best thing is, how our communication and relationship with my dad greatly improved. He would text me anytime and even wait till I get home! Finally, God has given us the opportunity to work on something hand in hand.

43 Days More - The Super Amazing Power of Choosing

We already distributed our shirts!!! Wohoooo!!
It's June 18 and we distributed our shirts in a middle of a concert Fete de la Musique held at the Ayala Terraces! Imagine, with super cool bands, and all the lights and all the crowd. (Actually, we never thought that there would be a concert held on that day! Great!)
And you know,  how many came?

ONLY 6!

Of the 20 who ordered only 6 came! Imagine?

Not bad for starters eh?
We didn't really expect that a only this few came but hey, we had one great mini reunion. We really had a lot of catching up to do with our classmates back in the seminary. Talkin' about the good ol' days is just wonderful!

You see, we really are very optimistic of this. We would really say to ourselves, nothing can stop us!
Dro was even running on time because our printer started working on it 6 hours before the scheduled release due to some setbacks. We released the shirts an hour late of our set schedule. But still we are positive that we'll find a way of having these picked up. Discouragement is not in our vocabulary!

Today, I choose to CHOSE.

No matter what happens, bad or good, it's still up to me on what would I do about it. This is one great lesson I learned when I got a copy of Zig Ziglar's book, Top Performance...

In life we chose, whether to react to life - which is negative. Like for example, if the doctor said that the medicine you took reacted on you then that's not a good symptom. But if we respond to life - which is positive then it's the other way around. When the doctor says that you respond to your medicine, then that's an indication that you are healing.

So no matter what happens in this shirt business, we would respond to it no matter what! People not showing up, messy prints, cellphone loads going zero, we won't react, we respond! And for me, this is the best way to succeed in business, and also in life.

(I started applying this today at work, and hey, with all the headaches lately of peoples attitudes, today was brighter!)

So how about you, will you respond or will you react?

44 Days Left - Not Just Any Ordinary Business

Few nights ago, lying in bed sparked one great idea, and i texted it to my partner Dro. It went our something like this...

"Dro, why not sell all our shirts for a cause? Ain't that cool? Like, we are already doing something good, why not do it God's way?"

And so we did!

The thought sprang from someone who commented on Facebook and asked if the X-sem shirst we are selling are for a cause. We told him this...

"Good afternoon, bro! Thru dis we aim to relive the moments we once had at Don Bosco. And eventually, continue to live in Don Bosco's way. Helping out in any way we can, together with all the exsems of don bosco. Last May, we had a litlle project of giving school supplies to the children of Maghaway, Talisay City. There was only a handful of us then. But with this, we can have a bigger network and thus, handing a bigger chunk of help or support. :) "

Actually, we are planning in one project where we could put in a chunk from the X-sem shirts profits. We would be supporting DBYC (Don Bosco Youth Center) in their continued projects in Maghaway - a little village located going to the mountains behind our seminary. We promised them a simple blackboard that they could use in their catechism.

Dro and me are really looking forward for this. We have made the arrangements and done canvassing a good deal for the blackboard.

And so, this would be our direction: sell t-shirts with a cause. We really want to institutionalize this and make it our own brand. We both are so captivated of the idea of, if you are already doing something why not do it for something greater, something more meaningful!? Right? Don't just stick to the norm, be different, be unique, be cool!!

Currently, we are both brainstorming what would be our best company name, share us if you have any ideas! We'd surely appreciate that, and if it gets approved, you'll get a free shirt! Game?

49 Days to Go - System Down

System Down! System Down! Alert! Alert!

For the first time in weeks, I came home without opening the laptop. System Down!
No, not the laptop, me!

I really didn't notice but I have been sleeping less than 5 hours straight for 5 days. So my body got it's toll. I started having a hard time comprehending things, missed out the words, I can't even speak in plain straight english already and I became so irratable. Like in the jeepney, I was about to elbow the person beside me on his face because of his smelly armpit, and I almost damaged the bar handle of the jeepney because I was hammering my coin for his music is too loud and lousy. People stared at me.

When I got home, took a bath, prayed and dozed off immediately. I promised myself that it would be the last time I'd get myself into that kind of mess.

"If you lose your sleep, you lose a lot: you lose your temper, you lose your creativity, you lose your comprehension, you lose the magic, you lose the great moments life has to offer, you lose the essence of time, you lose the opportunity, and you lose yourself."

56 Days to Go - New Biz in the Making!

No one can contain my excitement lately. I think we just hit the gold mine just behind our backyard! Yep! Just behind our backyard. Buried in my wonderful past is a golden opportunity.

Right now, Dro and me are still digging it slowly. Planning and sourcing possibilities and options. No room for mistakes here. We have came up with a million dollar idea..simple yet great! We have the perfect niche. A very solid and unique market that is very promising in this treasure hunt. Plus, we need not much capital!

Everything is still being cooked, slowly but surely. We need to come up with a strong marketing plan and a stable logistics procedure about delivery and distribution. One step at a time. We both super feel excited. I'm so dying to tell the world...

but not now..not now...

65 then 64 Days to Go - Everybody's is Already Doing It

Ok not everybody. But a big chunk of society is. What am I talking about? Just by riding a jeepney through the highway and you'll see what I'm talking about. Have you noticed how colorful streets have been with so many ads and signages compared to the last decade? How many stores of all sorts have popped up along the highway? How young people cram into ONE small establishment near Jollibee Capitol? (hehehe) and How everyone always has something to sell? I guess you really do....people are in to BUSINESS!

I met yesterday 3 of my best friends in high school and college, and oh boy, I was surprised coz they too have their own, say "Sidelines". And they're earning really "good" at it.

Dro is our hunk with 11 fingers and always has a good laugh and sells custom made jewelry - from gold rings to silver bracelets - for he knows one good craftsman who could closely imitate high class jewelry and customize it to the customer's preferences. He always offer good deals with the price compared to those sold at stores. This guy is quite flexible and open minded always on the go for opportunities. He's the one I'm offering the pig fattening opportunity.

Charles is our Einstein with a sharp nose and totally brilliant mind. Not the typical entrepreneur guy during our school days but now sells well with his memorial plans - in just less than a month!

Gary, the ever careless black businessman had entrepreneurship already in his blood. He might me careless at times but he's quick with cash. Let's just say he earned over 30k this summer while having fun. Not bad for an elementary teacher eh? He and his - Cebu's top 10 most outstanding student - girlfriend, Irish, is quite a fascinating tandem. Both of them are teachers and spent summer teaching classes, giving teambuildings, and selling chorizo (a Filipino-style sausage). Plus all along the way, with his guts and Irish's confidence they've made so many connections through selling cakes, pastries, and their services. As what Kuya would tell me "planting seeds here and there." And lastly, no one beats their frugality - Siomai dates!

I was so inspired  "Hey, you're not alone", and challenged, "Yes, you're not alone so don't be left behind!"

Hanz, fast track, double time, pull the pressure, be enthusiastic, 36k networth pa tawn ka! Learn from their examples!

These guys have been good friends of mine and it's so fascinating to know that we're digging our own gold mines. It would be really great that we'd be working with each other into something big but right now the best thing is to really focus on our own gold mines, learn from it and grow and be masters of it. And by then we could all be digging together a bigger gold, no, diamond mine!

66 Days More - Meet My New Friend: Debts

"Basa-basa ka aning millionaire unya basin inig ka tiguwang nimo di nimo makuha magmahay ka"
"You keep on reading these millionaire stuffs but when you grow old you might not get it and you'll regret it"

Blurted out by mom. A typical "poor" people money blueprint in real life. All the determined millionaire promised to himself..
"Who's saying I can not get that million??? Just watch out, and you'll see"

Money has been a curse in my family most especially in what I call the "Dark Ages" of the Florentino's. Belonging to a middle-class family, ever since I was a child, financial problems has been dominant in our home. Until I got to high school where my parents were literally drowned in debts. And then to college when it relationships come in conflict because of money. And slowly I was programmed of how "deadly" money can be. And most of all, I totally despised and rebuked and super hated debts! I saw how evil it is that debts could've made me belong to a broken family.

However, now as I am in my next book, Creating Wealth by Robert G. Allen even in the first chapter I was able to slowly open myself to the "necessity" of debts to become a millionaire. This refers to investment debts or shall I say good debts that can be used as leverage to help me fast track my first million. I'll share more about this when I get to apply this in the coming days.

My strikes:
-Gosh, I never thought that this old house behind our house which we owned could be a source of income. Unfortunately, my aunt is living in the house, hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm....

-I was awakened the other day by a business opportunity! PIGS! Yes, pigs! My father's friend runs a piggery and a set of the piglets were unsold so he offered to sell it to me then have it for pig fattening. The terms would be that I buy the pig but he fattens it for selling for about 90 days, but I will be the one to finance for the feeds and as it would be sold we'll divide the profit.

The opportunity was catchy and so I asked advice from Kuya, and he told me to study it more. I was really rushing to go for it but the problem was I can only afford 1 piglet!! And so I called up my Aunt Lita who used to have pigs and asked for her inputs. Right then and there he told me not to take it if I'll only go for 1 or 2 pigs. I might end up losing a lot. A good deal would be to get 4 or 5 piglets to have a clear return of investment (ROI) of around 10k and she even offered that she'd be the one to do fattening. Saddened but happy that I didn't get myself into a wrong investment I said no to the offer...just for now!

Looking for other alternatives, I called up a friend, Dro, who mentioned before that he'd go to pig fattening, and offered him to that he'd take the that original offer. Fortunately, he was interested and promised to meet me this week so that we could discuss it more. Oh, we're getting somewhere here...nice!

74 Days to 1 Million - Action! The Business of Business

ACTION! This is my theme for the day. Aside from the business of work (Eureka! I just realized that "business" which I meant for the noun form of "busy" has the same spelling with "business"!) I was still able to strike.

Back to my Eureka, therefore I conclude, that if you want to succeed in business, you have to be BUSY!! Action! Action! Action! Don't just wait and prepare and prepare, that's defense! We cannot succeed in life if I just sit down and read and learn and read! I need to make action, Attack!! Offense!!

So here are my strikes today...

- As I shared to you that I am an open book to my real estate adventure, almost every person I was able to talk to I try to insert whether he/she knows any house and lot for sale. And look what I've found. One of my  teamleaders is looking for a house! Yupeee! I now have a prospective buyer.
- I also asked my long time friend Dro if he knows one, and oh boy, he does! Actually, 2 houses for sale. I still need to follow him up on the details.
- I endorsed to my gym buddy Amino 2222, the protein tablet I take while working out (ehem, ehem) It's really safe, ain't no steroids. He's very interested though, aside from the fact that I bear the results (ehem, ehem) and thus here's another business oppurtunity!
- I will be visiting Cebu Hardware sometime to see if I can find materials for the Positive Switch Band. I just realized it need not be a rubber band, think out of the box!!
